The Rochester Bach Festival and the Rochester Early Music Festival need your help. Government and foundation support for community choruses has severely decreased over the last decade, and changes in the local economic climate have contributed to decreasing charitable contributions from individuals and declining concert ticket sales. If we are to continue serving the Rochester community, we need your support.

Time

1. Write to the editors of your Rochester-area newspapers.
   Encourage them to review concerts by community orchestras and choruses, and to support our publicity efforts with feature articles. Use the Letters to the Editor column to write your own statement of appreciation for the contributions the Rochester Bach Festival and other local music and arts organizations make to the quality of life in Rochester.
2. Contact your elected officials.
   Encourage politicians at the local, county and state levels to include financial support to community arts and cultural organizations in their budgets this year...and next year...and every year.
3. Help us raise money.
   We need people to research funding sources, make phone calls to foundations, government agencies, and corporations to identify decision makers for grant programs, and help with writing and producing fundraising brochures and other marketing materials. Money

1. Underwrite a concert.
   Cover expenses for one or more performances of the Rocheter Bach Festival Chorus or the Rochester Early Music Festival, or contribute the fee or travel expenses for a soloist or instrumentalist. Email board@rochesterbachfestival.org to discuss opportunities and benefits for individuals, businesses and corporations who underwrite one or more performances.
2. Become a Bach Festival patron. Individual contributions are needed to cover the music director's salary, concert hall rental, advertising and other ongoing expenses. Email treasurer@rochesterbachfestival.org for details.
3. Come to a concert, and bring your friends. It's more fun for the performers when they are outnumbered by enthusiastic audience members. Email tickets@rochesterbachfestival.org for information about ticket availability and prices.
